its been way too long, and seriously, the easy access of facebook has truly overtaken the photo posting... even my Lucerne, NYC,Toronto pics arnt even up here. Theres way too many, and i cannot be arsed.

was a weekend trip to bintan, and im really surprise how relaxing it was! despite it being just one day one night thing! and mightily affordable!! seems like with the girls (2 out of 5 are gonna be married soon), we can afford to go for these kinda short hollies before their husbands start to file for kidnapping! :p

Life's been kinda of a whirlwind, been to many new places, with 2more in afew days for the summer trip with Des and Kel, and meeting many nmew people, and also, getting to know myself a little better :)

Little surprises, good and bad.. But that's life eh?
Just a quik note to say that I'm still alive

And when I get back mid july, massive foto overload, though I think facebook has totally taken over that job! :)

Be safe, stay safe!

MAY [Tuesday.June 7th 2011|03:09 am]

[Current Mood |calmcalm]

Cant believe how fast the month of May flew by, but i'm pretty sure that Jun/July is going to be even faster. With the long trips for work and the 2weeks vacay to NYC...! Pretty psyched, just gotta reel in the spending in hongkong/frisco this time, to sustain my poor self in the second half of july.

Anyway, ramblings aside.. just abit of Paris (again) as it starts to really warm up, with cute finds along our way to Sacre Coeur.

Bali getaway with the girls was far TOO short.just as you really got into the groove of kicking back and wanna enjoy everything to the max, you gotta pack and head home. and a lesson i learnt, is to always buy confirmed tickets. It was wayyyy to stressful and i think that sucked a lil joy outta the trip.

2years after our greek summer, finally i meet up with Nicole in Milan.
Catching her just in time, before she shifts back to Tokyo!

We covered Lake Como the day i arrived, and despite being there before, we now combed the inner city. Tad freezing the weather cause of the early showers in the morning, thank goodness i brought my winter coat instead of the filmsy office jacket.

Random sights along the way -

The next day being Easter, EVERYTHING was practically closed. Supermarkets, restuarants, tourist shops, you name it, it was closed. Ok, maybe for the few cafes who were opened and catered full house the entire day, the glorious day of summer sunshine and perfect weather!

Decided on a day out in the park and picnic, since there  really isnt ANYTHING else to do... We headed to one of the two parco (read:park in italian) in Milan, which was just located behind an old castle/fortress. Kinda brought us back into greek summer'09 which if im not wrong was Crete, where it was medivial city of the past.

Duomo was packed with Italian locals and Stranded tourist, all not knowing what to do. With the main shopping district closed, everyone kinda stood around, took pictures and sat at cafes sipping a class of vino or two, people-watching (which we did alot within the two days we were there). Naturally, our wine intake that holiday weekend was through the roof!!!

though it is definitely NOT an excuse from me getting lost the first night, trying to find my way back to the hotel. Apparently i turned into the wrong lane instead of walking straight, and ended up a street & a turn FROM my main street. PFFFFT. it was dark and i was a little jittery when i realised i couldnt find the street i was on, on the map! Good thing we had shifted to this new neighbourhood, which is a little uppity, so i wasnt too afraid of being mugged or raped or whatever. Nice old ladies were walking the dog when i turned to them for directionos, before approaching another young lady after realising i was even more lost thereafter.

Something i realised is that the Italians can and would TRY to speak to you in english, unlike the french who would probably dismiss you if you dont even try sputtering a phrase or two in french.

'à gauche et à droit, voila! c'est là!'

Back in the comforts of the room at almost 9pm, the sun is setting, its peaceful and calm.
Samantha Jones croones the night away as i fall asleep....
